7/8/24 – I had a break from my wife and kids for the 4th of July weekend, who went to the northeast Ohio area to visit her parents. I used my time to play 36 holes on Friday 7/5, 18 holes on Saturday 7/6, and 36 holes on Sunday 7/7. Played 4 of the 5 rounds at my favorite course in Cincinnati area, which is Stonelick Hills. On Sunday, I had my two best scoring rounds of the year. I chose to play an extra 18 holes on Sunday instead of playing in my recreational ice hockey game. The main reason I chose to play so much besides my love of golf is the next time I can play will be on Kiawah Island, SC the week of 7/14 when I am on vacation there with my family, my parents, and my sister’s family. I am planning on playing Turtle Point and The Ocean Course. I have played The Ocean Course around 6 times between golf trips with my friends, family vacations, and visiting my sister. It is an awesome course and I highly recommend playing it at least once with a caddie. I have used the same caddie each time and he is excellent. Kiawah has 5 excellent golf courses you can play without any memberships and are some of the nicest courses I have ever played. Even if you don’t play The Ocean Course, the others are excellent to play. I already scheduled another golf trip with my friends in March 2025! Let's go!
